Whether you are black, white, a racial-couple, gay, a lesbian, an ex-boyfriend who's ex-girlfriend is a lesbian, or a transvestite, Rent is still a story of love. Rent is based around the story of men and women struggling with paying the rent, sexually transmitted diseases, drugs, and love. During a year, they will struggle to survive and cope with the losses of careers, love, and life. Rent is a redundant, dissapointing failure. Its flow is somewhat annoying, its delivery is low-key, and its climax is so cheesy that what may have looked good on stage, is a humiliating bore.
